The shops these days are full of all sorts of goodies suitable for the vegetarian. So no longer do you have to satisfy yourself with an omelet or salad. And because there is such choice you can choose low calorie options. Also there are now a number of meat substitutes if you wan to go that way. Vegetarian bacon - yes really - look in the frozen food cabinet - adds that something to lots of dishes and I frequently use it, even when cooking for omnivores.

This has quite a long list of ingredients, but is still quick and easy.
I haven’t given amounts as you can alter them to suit what you have available and how many diners there are.

Cannolis are a great Italian dessert and they were said to have been developed by Sicilians in Palermo, Italy. These fried wafers are filled with a mixture of ricotta, candied fruit, chocolate, and other ingredients, and they are very, very tasty! Sicilians are supposed to have created this great dessert recipe, and I think that they are just delicious. I hope that this recipe is fairly easy to follow. You will need some type of dowel or metal tube that you will use to form out your cannoli shells. If you have a 3 ½ inch in diameter ring or even a 3 inch ring, you will need this to form the shape of your shells, also. You will also need a deep fryer, or a pan that is deep enough for these shells to float in oil.

Calamari need to be either cooked quickly on high heat, or cooked for a long period on a slow simmer. Anything in between can lead to a chewy result. Take the tentacles and cut off the head just below the eyes, and discard this. Remove the hard beak inside.
Start by cleaning the Calamari. Holding the body in one hand gently pull on the tentacles to remove the insides, then remove the quill from inside the body cavity, finally peel the skin away from the outside of the body. Once the inside are out you can cut the head away from the tentacles The remove the mouth positioned at the base of the tentacles. Now wash the tentacles and body under cold running water.Once they are cleaned cut the body into rings about 1/4 inch wide.
