If your parents (or grandparents) are celebrating a milestone anniversary, it’s a wonderful idea to plan a special anniversary party.

You can host the event as a surprise party, or enlist in the couple’s help to make the anniversary party the best it can be.

Choose a venue that is suitable for your event. Whether casual or formal, large or small, you can make the party memorable. A great idea is to hire a band that can play music from the time your parents were married.

Before the party, gather photos and videos from your parents’ years together and put together a slideshow or video presentation for the party. A 25th or 50th anniversary is a notable milestone. Plan your event well in advance to make sure that out-of-town guests can make travel arrangements.
